Why stumps near a house are the ones people put off
The stump in the open lawn is the easy call. The ones people avoid sit tight to a deck, a foundation, a fence or a kerb, where a big machine cannot turn and a careless cut can cost far more than the stump ever did. Many a homeowner has lived beside a stump for years for exactly that reason.
Roots near a house are the other worry. They run under walks and along walls, and nobody wants a wheel anywhere near a pipe or a footing without a plan. That is why the estimate starts with the spot itself, and what is around it.
Call or text 770-378-4701 with a photo of the stump and the spot around it. We give free estimates across the greater Atlanta area, and we are licensed, insured and bonded.
A machine built to squeeze in and swing wide
Our grinder is the SP7015 TRX, a 60 horsepower tracked unit run by wireless remote. The operator stands where he can see the wheel and the structure at once, instead of sitting on a seat in the way.
The telescoping tracks pull in from 48 to 35 inches, which is how it gets through a side gate or between a fence and a wall. Once it is in position, the 70 inch swing lets the cutter wheel sweep across the stump from one set point, and 3.2 psi of ground pressure keeps the lawn on the way in and out in good shape.
The wheel works the stump and the roots near the surface down to chips, in passes, close to the obstacle without touching it.
Backfill, cleanup and the discounts that apply
After the grinding, the chips come out and the hole can be backfilled with topsoil, ready for seed, sod or a new bed. Customers mention the cleanup again and again in their reviews, and we treat it as part of the job, not an extra.
We offer 10% off for military, first responders and teachers, plus senior citizen and veteran discounts. Venmo is accepted, and we answer the phone from 7am to 7pm every day.
If you have a row of stumps from a tree crew, ask about a bigger job. We take on multi-stump work and the estimate is free.
